DES MOINES, Iowa (July 16, 2021)—Joseph A. Gullo has joined EMC Reinsurance Company (EMC Re) as Assistant Vice President – Reinsurance Underwriting, and member of EMC Re’s executive team. In this role, he will provide the leadership and strategic planning for, and oversee the execution of, all reinsurance underwriting activity.
With a reinsurance career spanning over 25 years, Gullo has worked with clients ranging in size from county mutual companies to Fortune 500 global companies, both directly and through reinsurance intermediaries. Most recently, Gullo served as vice president at AIG Re where he was responsible for building the division’s property capabilities, including establishing underwriting guidelines and pricing metrics. Previously, he held senior positions at Partner Reinsurance and Transatlantic Reinsurance.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Pace University’s Lubin School of Business in New York City. Gullo will be based in the New York area.
