DES MOINES, Iowa (Sept. 14, 2021)—EMC Insurance Companies (EMC) has earned 2022 DCC Elite™ certification from Deep Customer Connections. The honor was awarded to only five property and casualty insurance carriers and represents exceptional performance in, and commitment to, ease of business experienced by independent agents.
"EMC is committed to uncovering new and innovative ways to improve service for our independent agents,” said Scott Jean, EMC President and CEO. “Our relationship with our independent agent force is greatly important to us, so it’s rewarding to be recognized for our ease of business and agent experience efforts.”
DCC Elite™ certification requires two levels of qualification. First, Deep Customer Connections verifies that each carrier demonstrates mastery in ease of business using standardized metrics and competitive benchmarks derived from the carrier’s agent network. Second, carriers must pledge to implement specific strategies to further improve their performance in ease of business factors.
In 2020, the pandemic created new and significant challenges for property and casualty carriers. According to agents, most carriers fell short of their previous service levels in at least seven different ease of business factors, including underwriting responsiveness, ability to write business without rework and fairness of claims.
“Even without the impact of a world-wide pandemic, a carrier’s ease of business experience constantly shifts along with customer expectations, carrier staffing, competitors’ programs and other variables,” explains Jason Bogart, CEO of Deep Customer Connections. “DCC Elite™ carriers have proven their dedication to ongoing innovation when it comes to serving their agents.”
