DES MOINES, Iowa (June 1, 2022)—EMC Insurance Companies has announced the promotion of Ann Collins to executive vice president. In this role, Collins oversees the finance, corporate actuarial, investments and underwriting departments. Additionally, she has oversight of EMC’s reinsurance business, EMC Re.
Collins boasts almost 30 years of experience and expertise in the financial field. She joined EMC in 2021 as senior vice president – chief financial officer. Prior to that, Collins served as senior vice president and chief financial officer for Continental Western Group.

She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri, a Master of Business Administration degree from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, and holds a certified public accountant license.
